Camano Island Studio Tour

The 16th Annual Camano Island Studio Tour starts this weekend, May 9th, 10th, and 11th, as well as the 17th, and 18th from 10am to 5pm. The free self-guided tour features the art of 41 artists, 3 galleries, and the distinguished artist, Alfred Currier, of Anacortes, WA. Come see the studios, learn how the create their art and what inspires them, and see the artists in action as they are working on new pieces! Stop by our Windermere information tent at the Terry’s Corner Windermere to pick up an information packet.

Camano Island Fun In The Sun

Our family is having a great time, enjoying the sun on my deck…. even though this was last year, I am thinking of all the great fun we will be having this summer. There are many events that are coming our way this spring right here on Camano Island.

Coming up on May 3, from 10:00 to 4:00 is the 6th Annual Women’s Expo which includes many vendors, grilled lunch, even a martini bar and information especially for women, mammograms (helpful, but not so fun), lots of fun things do happen here at this event. Coming up on May 10, from 10:00 to 4:00 is the CASA (Camano Animal Shelter Association) Bake and Plant Sale. This is located at 141 East Camano Drive and they are serving free hot dogs, water, and coffee while you can shop for desserts and plants. Coming up June 7, from 1:00 to 4:00 is the Camano Chamber Summerfest, formerly known as “The Art of Beer, Brats, Biz and More”. This was a great event located in the community area behind our wonderful Camano Island Library. We had lots of fun and I had a booth giving away free water. It was a gorgeous day with some folks drinking wine, beer and others just plain water.

Come enjoy the community events on Camano Island, it is always a delightful time. You will be glad you did.
